The Legal Workforce Act H.R. 2164 is an enforcement bill that mandates the use of the E-verify system. The bill was introduced by Texas Congressman Lamar Smith on June 14, 2011. According to the Library of Congress Thomas website, the bill currently has 43 co-sponsors.
